Sali the salicornia and her friends – A children’s book

“Living in salt marshes: ‘Sali’ the Salicornia and her friends” is a book for children and anyone who wants to read a fun and educational story. The protagonist is Sali, a small plant of the Salicornia genus that lives in the coastal wetlands of the Mediterranean. The illustrated story explains the usefulness of these plant communities and why it is necessary to protect them.

The book was supported by the MedWet Initiative and the French Biodiversity Agency (OFB) and was published for the World Wetlands Day (2 February 2026).

It is currently available in Italian and Spanish in eBook format, but we hope to translate it into other languages in the future.
